Registered Nurse (Full-Time)

General Summary: Independently provides in-home nursing visits to pre-natal, postpartum and newborn clients. Follows Clinical Guidelines in planning care, assessing client needs and in determining and utilizing screening tools. Refers clients to community agencies and other resources as appropriate. Completes forms and documentation by submitting paper forms to the office and entering assessments, screenings, care plans referrals in electronic database following NFNF guidelines. Works with hospitals, physicians, managed care, and community agencies to provide care for clients. This position will serve clients in the North St. Louis County and North St. Louis City region.

Minimun Requirements

• Associates Degree (BSN Preferred)
• Current Missouri State Registered Nurse License
• Current CPR Certification
• 3 to 5 years experience in Maternal Child and/or NICU/Special Care Nursing
• Effective verbal and written interpersonal communication with co-workers, families, patients, and community agencies.
• High-level analytic ability to identify and evaluate problems, recommend solutions and evaluate client responses.
• Strong self-motivation, organization and planning skills
• Knowledge of adult and child learning behaviors
• Typing/word processing skills and computer literacy
• Ability to: push/pull/move objects of at least 25 lbs, squat/bend/kneel, sit, stand, reach overhead, walk/move about, near-visual acuity (depth perception, color and field of vision), hear in normal range.
• Must have vehicle to travel to client homes and vehicular insurance
• Flexibility in scheduling appointments
